CRESC HRS Level III: Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum with Dr. Phil Warrick-- VIRTUAL
Connecting the HRS and PLC Process to the Challenges We Face.
As school leaders anticipate the continuation of virtual learning or modified schooling in the near future, identifying effective instructional practices for staff and establishing a guaranteed and viable curriculum become non-negotiables for school leaders.
This workshop will a focus on High Reliability Schools level 2 practices (Effective Teaching in Every Classroom) and HRS Level 3 practices (Guaranteed and Viable Curriculum) from the High Reliability Schools framework and relate them to both the on-site model of schooling and the modified concept which includes blended and virtual learning.
As part of this workshop, participants will explore the concept and use of proficiency scales as instructional tools, as a natural part of the work of PLC teams, and how they can provide a guiding document for parents and students when daily in-person instruction might not be possible.
The sessions for the July 15 and 16 workshops will begin at 8:30 AM with a short lunch break from 11:30 to 12:00 PM. Throughout the sessions, attendees will have opportunities for questions and discussion of the topics being presented with a final Q and A session incorporated into the end of the final session. During the sessions, participants will see and hear testimonials and examples from schools who are doing or have done this work.
School teams will be offered the opportunity to engage in one on one discussions with Dr. Warrick during the session using the Zoom breakout room feature or separate Zoom links the team can access for discussion and collaboration purposes.
Workshop topics will include:
•
Using the New Art and Science of Teaching instructional model in-person and virtually
•
