NEA – Dyslexia Cadre Meeting



This session is specifically designed for the Northeast AR ESC Dyslexia Cadre. During the morning session, there will be a review of the current district/building dyslexia programs being used as well as a review of the Arkansas rules governing dyslexia with a discussion around a tool (sample) that includes district screening, reporting, and progress monitoring of dyslexia programs.  During the afternoon session participants will resume with their book study on the text Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills by Judith R. Birsh & Suzanne Carreker (Section II, Chapters 3-6)

Materials required by Participants:

Participants will need to bring the text Multisensory Teaching of Basic Language Skills, (4th ed). 

Participants will also need to bring an electronic device such as ipad or laptop.  There will be resources shared during the workshop that participants will need to access with an electronic device.
