NWAESC(2095)---ACT Aspire: Collective Inquiry on Math Exemplars
The ACT Aspire mathematics assessment uses various types of tasks on the summative assesssment. Some are multiple choice, some are technology enhanced, and others are constructed response tasks. In this session, participants will examine the ACT Aspire Math Exemplars for their grade level to learn more about the structure of this assessment and will also discover how the constructed responses are scored. Using this information, participants will collaboratively create a scoring rubric for these tasks that they can use in their classroom and their schools. Instructional strategies to help support students in tackling the constructed response tasks will also be shared.
