GFESC - Active Learning Strategies and Classroom Management for the Elementary Classroom
Everyone knows students learn more when they're active and emotionally engaged, but what about the ensuing chaos? In this workshop, teachers will learn how to facilitate enjoyable and meaningful active learning strategies while simultaneously learning classroom management techniques to maintain sanity. Little Rock teaching artist April Gentry-Sutterfield has 19 years of teaching experience at every grade level in urban and rural schools. During the school year, she runs Arts Integration Services which contracts with arts organizations including Crystal Bridges to create educationally-rich arts-integrated residencies for students across the state. Join April for a workshop that will get you and your students excited about and focused on learning.
