ARESC-Science Assessment (Pre-AP certification) (12 Hours: GPS)
What does assessment look like in the science classroom? Would you like time to practice developing science assessments with support? In this session, participants will examine the requirements of science assessment tasks to elicit evidence of student understanding of the three dimensions. Teachers will revise and create assessment tasks, scoring guides, and instructional response plans to use in their classroom. In this Grasping Phenomenal Science (GPS) session, revised tasks will be evaluated using the ACT Aspire performance level descriptions. Strategies to support all students including Gifted and Talented, Special Education, and English Learners will be included.
