NEA - Vision Screening Certification for School Nurses
The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to have the training necessary to complete mandated vision screenings. Objectives: The learner will be able to assess their knowledge of the vision law and responsibilities. The learner will be able to explain the importance of vision screenings. The learner will be able to identify the components of a vision screening and the pass/fail criteria for each. The learner will be able to demonstrate operation of the approved vision screening instruments. The learner will be able to list age-appropriate vision screening procedures. The learner will be able to identify components of the referral, follow-up and reporting process. NOTE: Attendees are required to register on A-Train for this course also.
