NAESC Object-Based Learning 101



This 6 hour workshop will introduce the participants to using historic objects, art and other primary sources in the classroom.  A variety of strategies and resources including digital versions of historic objects, art and primary source material will be provided. Participants are asked to bring a lesson or unit that they normally teach.  An opportunity will be given to revise the lesson or unit integrating an artifact chosen from the resources provided.   Participants are also asked to bring their laptops.  This workshop content and structure will incorporate the following domains of the Teacher Excellence and Support System (TESS): 1a, 1c, 1d, 1e, 1f, 2b, 3b, 3c, 3d, 4a, 4e. 
(For all K-12 teachers and school librarians – this will meet the Arkansas History 2 hour required PD)
