PCM Full Certification Class

This is a class for anyone that works with students who have the potential to have a “melt down” during the day. We will teach you some of the best researched and tested methods for preventing crisis behavior and de-escalating that same behavior to prevent your student from going into a full-blown crisis. PCM also shows you how to effectively, safely, humanely and respectfully handle a student that has gone into a crisis “melt down”. This class will show you how to physically transport a person from one location to another. You will learn several personal safety procedures that will help you stay safe. This class will also teach you how to implement vertical and horizontal immobilization techniques that are proven to assist people in calming themselves down without causing any unnecessary harm. This is a four-day class that spends just as much time on prevention and de-escalation as is spent on physical procedures. Those attending should come to class prepared to practice all of the procedures taught multiple times. This is a hands-on class where you will be expected to demonstrate all of the physical procedures several times over the course. This class is not for those people who may have a heart condition or who are not able to get up and down off of a mat unassisted several times in succession.

This class has a minimum of 4 participants and maximum of 10 participants.

There is a cost of $290 for each participant.
