AFESC--Reaching Hearts & Changing Minds

Our thoughts, perceptions, and emotions shape our reality and the same is true for our students.  Do you have students with fixed mindsets?  This session is for you.  It is my hope you will leave this session emotionally and intellectually equipped to shape your students mindsets through the power of love.
In an immersive, cooperative, brain-friendly workshop, we will cover multiple mindsets that affect our students such as Mediocrity, Insecurity, Quitter, Powerless, and Abandoned/Unloved.  Then provide research based strategies that help grow these mindsets to Achieving, Self-Confident, Gritty, Empowered, and Belonging/Loved.  Strategies used include, Class-building Circle (Restorative Practices), Kagan Cooperative Learning activities, Collaborative Grouping/Teambuilding, and more!

Audience: K-12 Teachers, Administrators, Academic Coaches and Counselors.
