NAESC Reading and Art
This workshop will feature tips and tricks on how to incorporate reading strategies into your art class, while keeping the “authentic” art class experience. Together we will use color theory as our focus to help kids synthesize graphs and charts. We will create two works of art in various media alongside fusing reading strategies into work time. Participants will take away art lessons that can be modified for any grade level and will also practice reading strategies that can be translated into every art lesson. Participants are encouraged to bring an apron and subject matter they are comfortable working with. ( Still life images would work great.)
