SCSC-Teaching Students with Autism and other Developmental Delays



The purpose of this workshop is to introduce applied behavioral analysis (ABA) and associated instructional methods based on ABA for teaching students with autism or other developmental disabilities.  Included in the program will be strategies that are considered “best practices” which can be implemented in the classroom. This course is designed to provide an opportunity for teachers to increase their skill set in addressing the many challenges associated with autism, behavioral /emotional disorders, and other developmental disabilities. TESS components addressed include 1a, 2c, 4e.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any trainings.
