Have you ever wondered what STEM activities your students can do and how those activities tie into the AR Science Standards and satisfy the expectations of the Engineering Design Process? STEM tasks are exceptional ways for students to learn Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics, but we fail to add Literacy in the mix! There is so much writing in the Design Process, and we will discuss ways for students to be creative in their writing. Join us as we explore various activities where the students will design and build a solution to a problem by using specific materials. They will learn and use collaboration skills, brainstorming techniques, design/redesign methods, documentation options, and various presentation tools. The participants will have activities prepared and resources in finding more for the new school year.
