SCSC - VIRTUAL - Science of Reading (SoR): Encoding



This session is virtual.  This enhanced zoom professional development experience will focus on defining encoding, discussing the knowledge needed to teach encoding, as well as how to teach and assess encoding in a way that it promotes permanent word storage rather than visual memory. This training will occur on two days in three hour sessions.  TESS components addressed:  1A, 1E, and 4E.

For member districts of the SCSC Professional Development Consortium the fee has been waived. Districts that have not paid for nurses and/or paraprofessionals will pay the listed fee. In the event of cancellation, registrants will be notified by email (address tied to escWorks). Participants are not allowed to bring guests (such as children or spouses) to any trainings.
