Participants will:
- Understand what makes a good word learner
- Learn essential classroom practices for teaching and learning about the structure of words
- Explain how syllabication and morphology/ etymology instruction supports decoding, vocabulary development, and comprehension in each content area
Note: This session qualifies for Science of Reading Pathway D.
Audience: This professional development was written for content teachers in Grades 3-6. However, high school teachers are welcome to attend. Regular education and special education teachers are welcome.
