NEA - Science Assessment (6 hours: GPS)



During these three, two-hour sessions, participants will examine the requirements of science assessment tasks to elicit evidence of student understanding of the three dimensions. This blended professional learning will support teachers to revise and create assessment tasks, use standards aligned scoring guides, and develop instructional response plans to use in their classroom.  

Participants will need access to a Google account and Zoom capabilities. Participants must also view the DESE Science Professional Learning Prerequisite Video Summer 2020 that highlights DESE mission and vision, High Leverage Practices (HLPs), and G.U.I.D.E for Life.



Important Session Information:


*Additional classroom-based 6 hours of professional development credits will be available for practical application of the skills through your local ESC science specialist.  Session 1: 7/28/20 @ 9:00am-11:00am;    Session 2: 7/28/20 @ 12:30pm-2:30pm;    Session 3: 7/29/20 @ 9:00am-11:00am
