Teachers will gather to review state standards and their implementation last year. Essentials student learning outcomes will be filtered within the context of a blended learning delivery system for the 2020-21 school year.
New fine arts/humanities standards and options to use 2020-21 as a transition year will be discussed. (This option is being made available through the Humanities are of state Frameworks.)
Daily teaching options, conditions, use of instruments, singing, choirs, and other complexities related to our subject area will be debated. In-person and online teaching options will be examined.
Discussion of CDC guidelines (as of now) and research by the University of Colorado related to instrumental music (to be released this week) and Vocal Music/Theatre research (to be released by July 25) will be reviewed as it relates to our subject area and respective buildings.
An outline of recommendations and action steps will be complied at the end of the session.
