For those who have completed the 12 hours of GPS: ACT Aspire and Science and Engineering Practices PD, an additional 6 hours of PD credit is available for those who demonstrate the use of the tools. Participants must meet with the science specialist to schedule an overview planning session. The participant will demonstrate the use of two tools from ACT Aspire and the Science and Engineering Practices PD by submission of multiple level examples of samples of student work with attached scoring guides. In addition, classroom observation by the specialist through an on-site visit, virtual classroom visits, or video recordings of the lessons utilizing the tools is expected. The science specialist will provide instructional support and coaching to participants and is a non-evaluative classroom observer.
