NWAESC(2095)--Grasping Phenomenal Science: Science Assessments

"What does assessment look like in the science classroom? Would you like time to practice developing science assessments with support? In this session, participants will examine the requirements of science assessment tasks to elicit evidence of student understanding of the three dimensions. Teachers will revise and create assessment tasks, scoring guides, and instructional response plans to use in their classroom. Revised tasks will be evaluated using the ACT Aspire performance level descriptors. Items to be addressed include: RTI, ACT Aspire, PLC, Common Formative Assessment development, and Depth of Knowledge. An additional 6 hours of PD credit is available for those who demonstrate the use and development of three-dimensional science assessments to guide classroom instruction. More details will be shared during the session."
