DSC Science of Reading (SoR):Phonological Awareness; Virtual
This one-day session is meant for those who chose a Prescribed Pathway for Proficiency that requires additional stand alone days. This training will focus on phonological awareness by discussing the phonological and phonemic continuums, examining the role of phonemic awareness in skilled reading, and applying the knowledge of phonological awareness to instruction. Articulation of both consonants and phonemes are taught through the use of a sound wall.
