Participants will:

and why it is important to teach content area reading skills

Examine theoretical models and how they apply to
reading in the content areas

Acquire new strategies to increase literacy
engagement in the content areas

session qualifies for Science of Reading Pathway D.
Audience: This
professional development was written for content teachers in Grades 3-6.
However, high school teachers are welcome to attend. Regular education and
special education teachers are welcome.
