DSC K-2 RISE Day 4 Fluency
Fluency is more than the number of words a student can read in a set amount of time. Day 4 of R.I.S.E. will clarify the definition of reading fluency. In this session, we will develop an understanding of the role of automaticity of subskills required for fluent reading and permanent word storage, discuss the role of repeated readings and determine which assessments are best used to determine who needs fluency instruction.
