The Behavior Essentials (1 &2) is now accessed through the Arkansas Behavior Support Specialist website https://arbss.org/ in two parts. The behavioral principles within these courses will assist participants in implementing behavioral interventions with greater success. This is a valuable first step in becoming an expert in preventing or intervening student problem behaviors. Additionally, the Essentials are required in 2019-20 for the development of future school district BX3 teams that will receive in depth training and coaching toward building local capacity. This course may be completed at your own pace. Topics and quizzes must be completed to 100% in order to receive a certificate of completion. The course may be accessed through https://arbss.org/ website by clicking on the courses tab. Participants can begin the Essentials courses at any time (please register on EscWorks first). Participants registered through escWorks will have until June 13th, 2021 to complete the courses for credit. After completion of the courses, the participant should email the (2) certificates (scanned or screenshot) to clara.penney@searkcoop.com and 12 hours credit will be given in escWorks. A follow-up Q & A Zoom meeting will be held on June 14th from 10:30-11:30 for participants to interact with Clara Penney, Behavior Support Specialist in Monticello at the Seark Co-op.
