GFESC Online Book Study- Phonics and Word Study for the Teacher of Reading
Classroom teachers, reading teachers, and special education teachers can turn to this self-paced, self-instruction program to develop a sound, comprehensive understanding of phonemic awareness and phonics. A careful sequence of material guides readers to correct responses. Ample repetition and review reinforces learning. Assessment helps teachers gauge their learning, and a pretest and a posttest allow for checking learning before and after using the program. The content in the book will be a refresher of the information taught in K-2 R.I.S.E. Each participant will need to purchase the book Phonics and Word Study for the Teacher of Reading- 11th Edition by Barbara J. Fox. The book study will run from June 1, 2021- August 8, 2021.
