DSC Formative Assessment - A Superpower for Effective Instruction and Student Learning Instructor(s) Annette Brown
Want to know a secret? Formative assessment can have an immense impact on learning, teaching and ACT Aspire achievement and growth. So what is it and why so powerful? It is a deliberate process used by teachers and students during instruction that provides actionable feedback that is used to adjust ongoing teaching and learning to improve students’ achievement of intended outcomes. Throughout this PD, participants will explore various types of formative assessments and learn how to analyze the data to determine student achievement and answer the critical question: did students learn what was expected from the activity or lesson?
