Science of Reading - Phonological Awareness



This six (6) hour session is meant for those who chose a Prescribed Pathway for Proficiency that requires three (3) additional days, one choice being Phonological Awareness.  This training will focus on phonological awareness by discussing the phonological and phonemic continuums, examining the role of phonemic awareness is skilled reading, and applying the knowledge of phonological awareness to instruction.  Articulation of both consonants and vowel phonemes are taught through the use of a sound wall.
