Shifting Small Group Instruction to Match the Science of Reading: Day 1 - (Virtual)



This two day enhanced, synchronous Zoom professional Development course will include how small group reading changes based on the science, teacher videos for the participants to watch, lesson plan templates for exploration, and ideas for centers. The training will include time for participants to work together to analyze data, group students, plan lessons and sketch out appropriate centers.. We will look at the essential assessments that we are using in RISE to determine the most effective way to form groups. We will focus on the progression of skills students need to become proficient readers. Participants will walk away with practical plans to differentiate small group instruction to meet individual needs of students during this critical time of the instructional day.
