AFESC--Instructional Math Routines, Virtual

This 6 hour virtual session will consist of online  pd and independent work. In this session teachers will be introduced into the implementation and planning of  instructional math routines. Having clearly defined routines for interactions and discourse supports students' engagement in mathematical practices and their learning of mathematics content. These routines will support students’ language and engagement with mathematical learning while supporting justification and explanation and modeling skills needed for state testing. Participants are encouraged to bring curriculum resources, planning documents and an electronic device to this training.

Participants will be notified by email regarding the session time frame, supplies, online  resources and  Zoom links needed. It is recommended you have a Zoom account. Information on setting up a free  Zoom account can be found at https://zoom.us/signin . Recommended devices for this training are desktop computers, laptops, and tablets.
