DSC Your Science Class Gets a Makeover!
Tired of working hard teaching your students science only to see little impact on their learning? Learn how to work smarter, not harder in this workshop based on researcher John Hattie’s book Visible Learning for Science. Hattie’s book ranks 138 influences on student learning in science and outlines implementation strategies for teachers. Teachers will examine the strategies that have the most profound impact on learning in the science classroom, compare them to current practices, and walk away with concrete examples of how to engage your science learners. There will be 6 hrs Synchronous learning along with 3 hrs Asynchronous learning. Sign up by 6/1/21 for mailing supplies to participants.
