As educators, it is important for us to be aware and understanding of our own biases so that we can best support all students. Join Jennifer Coldiron, with Ozark Guidance Center, as she leads discussion on this topic. Topics she will address include:

  • Pick up on expansive sexual and gender identity vocabulary.
  • Learn about some of the challenges that LGBTQIA+ students face.
  • Gain strategies and resources to create inclusive schools including what to say and what to avoid, contacts for crisis support and exemplary programs, plus high quality handouts to use with students or families immediately
  • Understand the origins of unconscious biases and how to challenge them to make informed decisions and support all students.
