Unlocking the Magic of Co-Teaching

Effective co-teaching occurs when a general educator and a special educator commit to working together for student success. This commitment requires a shift in mindset from teaching in silos to collaboratively sharing space and jointly providing high quality instruction. Educators must understand that inclusion is more than merely creating classrooms of diverse learners, it is providing equal access to quality instruction that meets the needs of each student.

The AR Co-Teaching Project provides this interactive learning opportunity for participants to discover the true meaning of co-teaching, the critical components, the instructional formats, and how effectively working together can narrow the academic achievement gap. The participants will leave with many strategies, tools, and resources for instant implementation in the classroom. This presentation is appropriate for anyone interested in starting or improving their co-teaching services, including co-teachers, administrators, and supporters of a co-teaching program
