DSC How Can You Help? Basic Helping Skills, Ethics, Warning Signs in Children and Teens Mental Health



"How Can Your Help? Kids struggling with emotional stress often struggle to share with others. These presentations define basic helping skills and ethical standards as well as a brief overview of how to notice warning signs when children or teens may be experiencing a mental health crisis. Participants will also be provided specific techniques to help encourage emotional expression and regulation at school, home, and clinical settings. Presenter: Lauren English is a licensed professional counselor and business development representative at Pinnacle Pointe Hospital in Little Rock, AR. She works with referrals across the state to help children and teens in mental health crisis. Lauren has experience working with children, adolescents, teens, and families in both school-based and clinical settings. Lauren is trained in TF-CBT in the state of Arkansas, and also provides monthly Therapeutic Thursday segments on KATV Channel 7 Good Morning Arkansas and Good Afternoon Arkansas."
