AFESC--De-escalation Techniques for Beginners



Do you need skills in how to respond and react to a crisis?  In this session you will learn the decision-making skills to match the level of the response to the risk of the crisis, focusing on the least-restrictive response to ensure the Care, Welfare, Safety, and Security? of those in your care. This includes recognizing the stages of an escalating crisis and learning evidence-based techniques to appropriately de-escalate using evidence-based techniques that have been used successfully in practice for 40 years.

Novice Teachers  in the Arch Ford Novice Teacher mentoring program can attend this session for no cost.  All other educators will be charged $23 to cover the cost of the participant manual.
