SCSC Virtual K-5: Five Practices in Practice Book Study

This training is based on Smith and Stein's work on orchestrating productive mathematics discussions in grades K-5. Creating a student-centered classroom requires having students be metacognitive as well as communicating their thinking to other students. This book offers solutions to issues that arise around that effort. The training is 18 hours total and begins with a two hour virtual meeting on June 14. The course concludes at the end of July.  TESS components addressed: 2B, 2D, 3B, 3C
