Morphology for Secondary

All teachers know that vocabulary is a huge piece of the content that is taught; however, it feels that every year teachers are teaching the same vocabulary words. Is there a better way to teach the meaning of words? YES! By teaching students the meaning of each part of a word through a problem-solving approach, students are better equipped for reading fluency, comprehension, spelling, and sentence development based on learning morphology. This training is not based on literacy standards, but on the content standards for each content area. Bring your content standards and your curriculum as we dig into each and determine a plan for teaching those word parts so that the learning sticks!
