I will demonstrate how to make, and stretch the canvases for scratch and then demonstrate a
technique that combines the loose stain painting of Helen Frankenthaler with the level of detail up to your
choosing. It combines the concept of watercolors light-to-dark with the oil painting lean-to-fat all with
using acrylics. This will help you make your paints stretch and help the budget in doing large paintings
with little paint. Faux impasto can also be incorporated as I will demo that as well. I have painted approx.
40x40 painting with just over 2 tbsp of paints before and you can too.
If you are not under contract with the Northeast Arkansas Education Cooperative or one of our 14 member districts, you will be responsible for all fees related to this workshop. The fee for this workshop is $35. Payment is expected the day of the training unless prior arrangements have been made.
