NWAESC(2095)---Zoom: SLP Behavior Bootcamp Part 2: Tackling the Behavior Beast for the Assessment of Social Communication Goals



This session will address the developmental stages of language and social communication skills that are vital in programming to decrease demands of communication when maladaptive behaviors influence performance in the classroom. Specific segments of the Verbal Behavior Milestones Assessment and Placement Program (VB-MAPP) and the Assessment of Basic Language and Learning Skills-Revised (ABLLS-R) will be explored to aid in assessment, programming and progress monitoring for the functional aspect of communication in the classroom. Participants will develop examples of functional communication plans for training other staff that target using High Leverage Practices and TESS components with collaboration and inclusive setting.
