Texts take center stage in the Pre-AP English classroom, inspiring and preparing all students to close, critical reading. This virtual workshop addresses the three areas of focus for Pre-AP English: reading closely, valuing evidence, and noticing language choices. Through engagement with model lessons, participants will explore how these areas of focus help the reader observe the small details within a text to arrive at a deeper understanding of the whole. Must attend both sessions.
