SE Addressing the Challenges of Teaching Math to Students with Characteristics of Dyscalculia and/or Dyslexia



Prepare to be engaged in session activities designed to raise your awareness of Dyscalculia (specific learning disability in math) and Dyslexia (specific learning disability in reading) while providing ideas/strategies to teach math to students with one or both of these specific learning disabilities. Research shows that Dyscalculia and Dyslexia occur together 40% to 60% of the time. Discussion of possible screeners for dyscalculia will be included.
