NWAESC(2246)---CHAMPS and Discipline in the Secondary Classroom VIRUTAL training: Day 2 - ZOOM

"Day 2: Student misbehavior has always been the leading cause of teacher frustration. CHAMPS empowers teachers to improve student behavior and motivation by creating classrooms where all students can thrive. By reducing misbehavior, teachers focus their time and energy on instruction and student success. Teachers will create a positive classroom community where they help students develop social-emotional skills for life. CHAMPS is a positive behavior support (PBS) designed for middle and high school students and teachers. (The New Teaching Mentoring program recommends Conscious Discipline for preK and elementary teachers: Session #454162, 454170, 454175, and 454178.) 6 hours of VIRTUAL training Participants will need the book they received on Day 1: ""CHAMPS: a Proactive and Positive Approach to Classroom Management"" (middle school) or ""Discipline in the Secondary Classroom"" (high school). The cost of this session is covered by the Recruitment and Retention grant, and the cost of substitutes will be reimbursed for novice teachers."
