EA: Myth Busters: The National Debt



Twenty-seven... no, make that twenty-eight trillion! What do we get for all that deficit spending? How do we make sense of the federal budget, deficits, and debt in 2021? What does it mean in an era of pandemic stimulus and low interest rates? Discover hands-on activities that provide historical context and use the economic way of thinking as a framework to examine the issues in light of incentives, costs, and benefits facing decision-makers. These classroom activities are part of FTE's newest curriculum unit: Making Sense of the Federal Budget, Debt and Deficits.
