ARESC-Trauma-Informed Care: Supporting Students During Difficult Times



Training introduces school personnel to childhood trauma, how it impacts development and how it might appear in the classroom. Participants will learn strategies for supporting children exposed to potentially traumatic events and will learn how to identify when children need additional trauma services and resources. Extended version (3 hrs.): Training includes the content above and allows for deeper exploration of topics such as types of trauma, the impact of trauma on brain development, maintaining emotional safety during a crisis, and application of key concepts to real-life scenarios.
