SE Trauma-Sensitive Classrooms

Understanding how trauma adversely impacts the brain and a person’s ability to learn will be discussed based on research.  Strategies for decreasing anxiety and increasing academic brain function will be presented.  Students and school staff have lived through three years of stress and/or trauma with COVID, but many of our behaviorally challenged students live daily with emotional anxiety and trauma.  Additional resources will be shared for teachers and administrators to access throughout the school year.

For teachers, paraprofessionals, administrators, and parents.
