SCSC-Talents Unlimited Initial Training, Cohort 2

This highly engaging, interactive two-day training will provide a framework for teachers to lead students in critical and creative thinking. This K-12 model adapts to any grade level and any content area, making it a perfect fit for today's students. Meeting social and emotional needs through interaction and content-driven activities offers teachers an opportunity to connect with students. The Talents Unlimited model  embraces the philosophy that traditional academic success is not the only indicator of somebody’s ability to think and solve problems, and that a person can express his or her intellectual potential in a variety of forms.  The model categorizes six talent areas-- Productive Thinking, Decision Making, Planning, Forecasting, Communication, and Academic-- and outlines a staff development program to help teachers nurture each of these talents in the classroom.  TESS Components: 1e, 1f, and 1b.
