WDMESC: Trauma Informed Education



 Connecting stories, reflection, and practical techniques, this program utilizes known trauma-informed care principles. The focus is specifically on the role of education within the range of helping professions. The goal of this program is to value the diverse scope of human interactions that take place, and to affirm the various persons and their contributions to the overall effort of education.     

 Training Objectives: 
•  To provide a general overview of trauma-informed care as applied within educational systems;
•  To integrate trauma-informed principles within the various educational levels of care:      administration, classroom, and staff;
•  To conduct case study approaches to applying problem-solving strategies and technique and
•  To underscore the practice of supporting all stewards of care.
