AFESC-Science: Arkansas Geological Survey Fossil Field Trip

Join us on a field trip to visit Richland Creek to increase your understanding of fossils. This PD will require participants to travel to locations outdoors, climb steep and uneven surfaces, and stand for extended periods outdoors on day one. Day two will be at Arch Ford Cooperative indoors for the classroom instruction portion. The learning will be centered on increasing your knowledge in support of AR K-12 Science Standards LS4, ESS1, ESS2, and LS 2 in Grades 3, 4, 7, 8 and Earth and Environmental Science Course. Information will be sent to your email in your ESC works account concerning the locations and meeting sites for day one prior to June 14. Please make sure this information is up to date. Due to the travel distance for this trip, the time may extend past 3:30. Pack a lunch and dress appropriately for the weather and water. Towels for drying off after a dip in the creek are suggested.
