AFESC-Science: Engaging Students in Science and Engineering Practices Series- Constructing Explanations, Engaging in Argument and Obtaining, Evaluating and Communicating Information



Science and Engineering Practices are the practices used in STEM fields daily. Students should be using these practices daily in order to prepare for jobs and to increase reasoning skills in everyday life. This half day session is focused on engaging you in protocols and classroom practices for increasing student use of the science and engineering practices. This is one in a series of sessions this summer on the science and engineering practices. Join us for one or all of them. It is up to you.
This session will focus on students constructing explanations, engaging in argument and obtaining, evaluating and communicating Information.
