SE Portrait Play: Teaching Through Portraiture



In this workshop, teaching artist and portrait painter Elly Bates will lead teachers through a unit focused on portraiture. A variety of art mediums will be showcased and experienced. Incorporating biographical details into visual art will also be taught. This is a hands-on workshop that will incorporate visual arts standards but would also work for any teachers who wish to embed a portraiture project in a non-arts related unit. All skill levels welcome as process is the focus!
