GREC-Zoom-Advanced Python Programming - High School-9-12 CS Professional Development



Target Audience: Amy 9-12 teacher who is interested in guiding students through advanced material

Note: A Zoom-capable Laptop or Chromebook is required for this PD session. However, a device with the capabilities of installing software may be beneficial. The Zoom Link will be sent to your email address as listed in ESCworks.

This 5-day workshop is for educators  who hold the 528 Computer Science Teachers Certification, 5014 or 5016 Computer Science Approval Code, or have completed the 30-hr ADE approved professional development and have a fundamental understanding of computer science concepts and the Python programming language. It is recommended, but not required, that the intermediate training be completed before participating in the advanced level training. Topics covered will include, but not limited to, object-oriented programming, including inheritance and polymorphism, processing binary files, exception handling, algorithm analysis, working with data collections, simulations, using Python libraries, and version control and collaboration software.
