SCSC - Shifting Small Group Instruction to Match Science of Reading



In this TWO-DAY training, K-2 R.I.S.E. participants that have completed Days 1-6, will dive into the "ins and outs" of small group instruction in grades K-2. We will look at essential assessments being using in R.I.S.E. that can simplify the process of forming groups based on deficit skills. Additionally, we will focus on the progression of skills students need to become proficient readers from K-2. Participants will walk away with practical plans on how to effectively create groups and differentiate small group instruction to meet the individual needs of students. TESS components addressed: 1E, 3C, 3D

Important Session Information:


This is a TWO-DAY FACE-TO-FACE TRAINING and will be held in the SCSC main building from 8:30-3:30 on both days with an hour for lunch. PLEASE BRING any 2021-2022 LETTER ID, PAST, Decoding Surveys/CORE, and DSA data with you. (tangible or spreadsheets) You will need a device and a notebook.
