SCSC - Youth Mental Health First Aid

This is an in-person training that requires online course preparation before you attend. You will be sent an email from the instructor inviting you to register for YMHFA Connect. Please follow the directions carefully. THiS MUST BE COMPLETED BEFORE YOU ATTEND.Just as CPR helps you assist an individual having a heart attack, Youth Mental Health First Aid helps you assist adolescents who may be experiencing a mental health or substance use-related crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is a curriculum that was designed to teach parents, family members, caregivers, teachers, school staff, peers, neighbors, health and human services workers, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in crisis. Youth Mental Health First Aid is primarily designed for adults, such as school resource officers and educators.
